I left the Concorde Room a bit before scheduled boarding time, mainly since I was tired of sitting and wanted to explore Terminal 5 a bit before I left. Eventually I made it to gate A11 from where my flight was departing and about five minutes later, boarding began.

I was able to fly the inbound flight from Kraków to London earlier this summer, and therefore I was excited to also try the outbound from London to Kraków, since the route was recently re-launched. Unfortunately this flight to Kraków was operated by an ex-BMI A320 without the new slim European seats, whereas the inbound flight a few months ago was.

I was welcomed by two friendly flight attendants who informed us the flight time would be about one hour and fifty minutes. Once boarding was complete, the FA working Club Europe handed out warm towels to everyone, the premium cabin was about 70% full with just four rows, I was lucky to have an entire row to myself. Club Europe is British Airways’ short-medium haul Business Class (which is an Economy seat with a blocked middle seat and better food service) and Club World is British Airways’ long-haul Business Class.

We pushed back about five minutes before scheduled departure time and made it to the runway shortly thereafter. However since this is Heathrow, we queued for about twenty minutes before we were able to take-off and that resulted in a five minute delayed arrival time in Kraków. Overall it was a beautiful day in London.

Once we were at 10k feet, the FAs began meal preparations for both cabins. The service for Euro Traveller (Economy) was actually almost complete by the time passengers in Club Europe were served drinks. To start, I asked for some champagne and water with lemon, the champagne served on BA short-medium haul flights is Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top Brut, which is perfectly fine.

Interestingly I was also given two packages of mixed nuts, I’m not sure as to why that was.

We were served dinner about thirty-five minutes into the flight and there were two choices: either a lobster salad or a chicken with salad. I had the chicken option and it was delicious, the bread and cheese were also excellent. The dessert was some sort of pudding which I didn’t like. I also ordered some tea with lemon once all of the meals were distributed.

We landed in Kraków about five minutes after scheduled arrival time and made it to the remote stand about two minutes after landing. The captain and flight attendants thanked us for flying with British Airways and wished us a pleasant stay in Kraków. The crew was definitely nice, but not as amazing as the crew I had on the inbound flight to London a few months ago. All in all, I had a great time flying with British Airways during the summer and I’m looking forward to flying them more in the future!

My quick trip to Dubai came to an end and I was happy to be home for a bit before flying to America in a few weeks. Dubai is a fascinating and glamorous city and is very much worth visiting for at least a few days, I had a lot of fun and I’m glad I was able to put together an awesome itinerary around the trip. Miles are awesome!
