United Airlines Business Class A320 San Francisco to Mexico City
United Airlines 412
San Francisco (SFO) – Mexico City (MEX)
Airbus A320
13 June 2014
I spent the last two hours of my layovers in the United Club in the International Terminal in SFO. I generally love overnight flights so when I had a choice to book this flight again, I thought if it would fit into my mini mileage run and everything worked out.

There were literally two other people in the United Club. No one else. It was so empty.

Literally only two people besides me and the lounge attendants. There were a good amount of flights leaving at this time of the night, so I do not see why it was so empty.

I had a nice hot tea with some snacks for the evening and caught up on some emails.

About 10 minutes before scheduled boarding time, I decided to head over to Gate 100 and noticed people were already queueing for boarding. There was no one in Group 1, so I ended up to be the first one on board the plane. First class was half full and the wait list only had 3 people on it. The first thing I noticed when onboard was how nice and new the aircraft was. At first I thought to myself, wow, this must be a brand new plane. Later I googled the tail number and found out it was delivered to United in the late 90s, but seriously I’ve never seen a plane as clean as this A320!

Upon boarding we were given immigration forms for Mexico and the FAs distributed blankets and took drink orders. They also asked if we wanted to have a late supper (which was either Chicken or Beef), I declined and slept for most of the flight given I was tired from the mini mileage run.

Before my rather short sleep, I had a sprite. What I love is that the FAs gave everyone a glass of water and kept it full constantly, I would wake up, drink some water and later when I would wake up again the glass would be full. Excellent service. What I found funny was that the FAs actually sat down in the first row and were talking, etc. They had nothing else to do anyway.

After about a 3 and a half hour sleep, I woke up with a nice view of Mexico City.

Immigration went by fast and I claimed my luggage quickly and proceeded to see my friend and his family. Overall, I love this United flight into Mexico City as it leaves around 23:30 and lands around 05:30, which gives me at least some time to sleep and relax.
