Flying the Etihad First Class Apartment – Flying Reimagined
Wow! Wow! Wow!!!!!
A few days ago, I was able to fly the Etihad First Class Apartment. Twice. Needless to say, I think these two flights were the best in my life. The first flight was from Sydney to Abu Dhabi and the second, from Abu Dhabi to London-Heathrow.
I’m still in shock at how gorgeous the First Class cabin is and how downright incredible the service was – perhaps the best I’ve ever experienced on any airline. Beyond that, the food was absolutely delicious and you can literally pick what you want, when you want it, and in what order you want it. Not only that, if what you want isn’t on the menu, the chef will try to create your meal of choice using the ingredients they have in the “pantry”.
Perhaps I should first apologise for the lack of posts recently – but if you follow me on Twitter and Instagram, you’ll know I just completed an incredible journey to Hong Kong, Bali, Bangkok, Sydney, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai – flying some of the world’s best First Class products. In addition to Etihad First, I was able to fly Cathay First, THAI First, and Qatar First. Full trip report coming right up!
None of the other airlines on the list above were as incredible as Etihad. As much as it pains me to say it, Etihad is miles ahead of Lufthansa, my favourite airline and First Class cabin. There just isn’t a comparison between the two.
Truth be told, the Etihad First Class Apartment is the world’s best First Class. There is no doubt in my mind that any airline is better. No other airline offers a private seat and bed inside of an apartment in First Class. Not to even mention that you can still walk around in your apartment when the door is closed and the bed is made. Incredible!
I think I might just have a new favourite airline… And I may or may not have started to collect many more AA miles to fly Etihad again soon… even though at this point it might be more or less equal to redeem through Etihad Guest.
Oh, and showering on an airplane? The coolest f#$%ing thing ever!!! I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time I was in the shower. What is air?!!!?
This truly is flying #reimagined…
“Because their goal isn’t to improve on what has been done before, but to totally reimagine it.“
