LOT Polish Airlines Elite Club Lounge Warsaw
Two Days in Warsaw – Introduction
Inside of the LOT Business Lounge Polonez, is a ‘secret’ Elite Club Lounge which is available to Star Gold members. A few people actually know that Star Gold can access the lounge since there is a giant “HON Circle” carpet in front of the entrance, which leads people thinking only HON Circle members can access it.
Miles & More Frequent Traveller (Star Silver) members can access the Polonez lounge, while the Elite Club Lounge can only be accessed with a Star Gold card. There is actually a Star Gold indication below the large HON Circle text on the carpet in front of the entrance.
The lounge lacks natural light in the main section since it is hidden away behind the Polonez Business Lounge, which does have a lot of natural light. There are plenty of different seating areas spread throughout the lounge, there are also separate bathroom facilities. Besides me, there were just two other people in the lounge, which clearly indicates that not a lot of people know about it.
The food spread is much better than the main Business Lounge and is much more extensive. I do find it puzzling that LOT decided to build a lounge within a lounge instead of just having a separate entrance to the Star Gold lounge from the outside. This Elite Club Lounge doesn’t even show up on the Miles & More lounge finder website!
The food spread is very extensive and consists of different types of bread, soups, salads, cheese, meat, chocolate, cookies, crackers, chips, vegetables, fruits, etc. The drink selection also varies with about ten different types of tea and various types of coffee. There is also a fairly extensive selection of alcohol.
I wasn’t particularly hungry and therefore decided to have some tea and a snack. The food, however, looked super delicious and fresh and I regret eating breakfast at the hotel since I could’ve enjoyed a nicer one in this lounge.
All in all, this secret Elite Club Lounge is definitely better than the main Business Lounge Polonez due to its privacy and much better selection of food and drinks. I like the fact that the lounge remains a secret amongst individuals since it isn’t technically published everywhere and that makes it nice for a quiet, relaxing experience. The staff are also super nice and helped me with a seat assignment since the aircraft of my flight was changed last minute. LOT sure is improving for the better, especially at their hub!
