Qatar Airways features one of the world’s best Business Class on a variety of aircraft, however, their signature Qsuite is their revolutionary Business Class product which they describe as “First Class in Business Class“. The Qsuite can be found on their flights from Doha to select destinations including:
Asia and South Pacific:
- Hong Kong
- Kuala Lumpur
- New York
- Los Angeles
- Sao Paulo
- Buenos Aires
Note that Qatar Airways operates a number of frequencies on some of the routes above and not every flight features the Qsuite. It is important to check Qatar’s website before booking your flight to confirm which flights will feature their new product. Also, remember that last minute equipment changes are possible.
Qatar Airways frequently publishes great fares in Business Class – especially from Europe to Asia. It isn’t uncommon to find great deals between $1,300 – $2,000 USD round-trip. From North America, you can occasionally find deals to Asia in Business Class for from $2,500+ USD round-trip. Remember that you should earn at least 100% of the miles flown (if not more) with your desired frequent flyer programme.
Current Business Class round-trip deals include:
- Oslo – Bangkok: ~$1,600 USD
- Oslo – Kuala Lumpur: ~$1,700 USD
- Oslo – Singapore: ~$1,700 USD
- Oslo – Shanghai: ~$1,750 USD
- Oslo – Bali: ~$1,750 USD
- Oslo – Jakarta: ~$1,600 USD
- Belgrade – Hong Kong: ~$1,250 USD
- Bucharest – Colombo: ~$1,300 USD
- Helsinki – Tokyo: ~$2,300 USD
- Helsinki – Beijing: ~$1,650 USD
- Gothenburg – Seoul: ~$1,750 USD
- Gothenburg – Hong Kong: ~$1,700 USD
- Stockholm – Hong Kong: ~$1,700 USD
- Stockholm – Singapore: ~$1,700 USD
- Stockholm – Bangkok: ~$1,650 USD
- Stockholm – Phuket: ~$1,700 USD
As you can see, some of these fares are phenomenal. A round-trip ticket in Business Class for less than $1,300 USD from Europe to Asia? That’s fantastic. Some of these routes feature Qsuites… so make sure you carefully select your flights. These fares are valid this year and next year – with some fares being only valid during select times.
Regarding crediting miles, I would credit to American Airlines or British Airways. If crediting to British Airways, chances are you can easily reach oneworld Sapphire with one of these tickets and then another short-medium haul ticket in Business Class.
Stopovers in Doha should be possible either for free or for a little more in taxes. Not every route combination will allow you to stopover in Doha, but some do. If you want a stopover, you can try searching using the multi-city option.
Qatar Airways offers an incredible Business Class product and at fares like this, everyone should be interested. Remember that you could also book these as an open-jaw on one ticket. So you could fly from Stockholm to Hong Kong and then back from Bangkok to Oslo on one ticket. The price may be a bit higher due to fare differences, but should still be relatively close to the ranges listed above.
