Over the years I’ve taken a number of trips, have flown a number of incredible airlines in First Class, and have stayed at some of the world’s most luxurious hotels. I currently have another big trip coming up, specifically to the United Arab Emirates and the Maldives – naturally staying at the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa.
This time I’m not going alone and instead I’m bringing my parents along with me. I’ve planned the trip to perfection and we are going to stay at some of the finest hotels in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and of course the Park Hyatt Maldives. My initial idea was to fly Lufthansa First Class to Dubai, however, Lufthansa has once again decided to remove First Class service to Dubai and therefore we are flying SWISS Business Class as I was unable to acquire 3 seats on the Etihad A380 in First Class from London (though that may still change).
We will be in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for a few days before flying Etihad Airways to the Maldives. We are currently booked to stay at the Park Hyatt for 7 nights, which I think is perfect. While the hotel stay was booked using free nights and points, the domestic flight and boat transfer costs ~$500 USD per person.. which I think is ridiculous for a resort that charges $2k+ USD per night. There’s no way in hell that the resort is paying $500 for two short domestic flights and a short boat ride.
All of that being said, I’m super excited to finally visit this Park Hyatt. I have read every single review about the resort that I could find and I know it will be a spectacular and memorable holiday. I will be writing an extensive review of the resort, but before that you can of course follow me on social media for a ton of live updates.
Anyone planning to be at the Park Hyatt in December?
