It is no secret that I love Lufthansa and their entire First Class experience – it is simply incredible from the moment you enter the airport to the moment you pick up your baggage at your final destination. I’m flying soon and as I wrote yesterday, it seems like I might have an empty First Class cabin all to myself. But what’s cooler in addition to having an empty Lufthansa First Class cabin? Having an empty Lufthansa First Class Lounge all to yourself!
The Lufthansa First Class Lounge at Frankfurt Airport in Pier A is awesome. It is always quiet and there are rarely any people there. It is located in the Schengen area which means it is primarily designated for HON Circle Members travelling within the Schengen region – so there are rarely any First Class passengers there since they mostly spend their time at the First Class Terminal or at the Pier B First Class Lounge.
The Pier A Lounge is comparable to the size of the Pier B Lounge and the First Class Terminal, and all of them share the same amenities such as a restaurant, shower rooms, etc. The Pier A lounge, however, has to be my favourite because it has incredible views of the tarmac (something the First Class Terminal doesn’t have) and it is always empty. Like always. The only downside to the Lounges vs. the Terminal is that when you go to the First Class Terminal, you are guaranteed to be driven to the aircraft in a fancy car – which isn’t always the case with the lounges.
So I’m in an empty Lufthansa First Class Lounge and it is incredible to know that I have the entire lounge to myself – before boarding a flight with a completely empty First Class cabin. I LOVE LUFTHANSA!
