I love Cathay Pacific. I honestly think they’re the best airline in oneworld, with the best First Class product (maybe even also Business Class). Despite the fact that their frequent flyer programme, Asia Miles, isn’t industry leading, the airline still offers an amazing ground experience and also a great experience in all cabins of service.
I’ve flown Cathay Pacific lots of times before, mostly in First Class, but also in Business Class… and every flight was incredible. Not once was I disappointed. Cathay offers excellent consistency in that you know what to expect from the airline in each class of service, and you can expect the experience to be of high quality. With an amazing First and Business Class product, Cathay also offers high quality lounges on the ground which feature a wide range of different types of food – all of which are super tasty.
The best way to redeem miles for Cathay Pacific First or Business Class is through Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, with First Class being just 70k miles one-way from North America to Asia (even with a stopover in Hong Kong)! You can transfer SPG points to Alaska or apply for their credit card directly.

Airline videos like this just make me want to fly more with the airline. Seriously, branding and the way an airline presents themselves in the online world is super important nowadays and videos like this help. I love how they incorporated a global aspect into the video, but also included parts from Hong Kong, their home. Hong Kong is one of my favourite cities in the world, so seeing Cathay show that in the video is awesome.
