We spent two nights in New York, the first of which we spent at The Millenium Hilton, with a less than ideal experience. I had originally booked the Hilton for two nights, but after the first night decided to cancel the second night and book the Sheraton Tribeca New York Hotel for about $130 + tax per night. When I was booking the hotel for New York a few weeks before, this Sheraton was selling for over $200 per night.. however thankfully the rate went down almost by half the day before.
I was excited to finally experience the #spglife again after a few non-chain hotel stays in the recent months. We took an uber from the Hilton to the Sheraton and were quickly welcomed to the Sheraton and the very friendly front desk agent thanked me for my loyalty with Starwood and informed me of all of the benefits I’d receive at the hotel (late check out, restaurant discount, enhanced room, etc.).

We were upgraded to a corner room with two beds, and unlike with Hilton, there was no problem switching to a double bed room on the day of check-in. As is the norm for SPG, we were on one of the top floors of the hotel – just a few floors down from the stunning Club Lounge which we had access to thanks to my American Express SPG Business Card.
Our room wasn’t too spacious, but clean and further away from other rooms. The room featured amenities such as complimentary water from SPG, a coffee maker, desk, etc. The bedding was also much more comfortable than what we had experienced the night before, even though the beds were a bit smaller.

The bathroom was regular sized and contained the standard Sheraton amenities. The main highlight of the bathroom was that it was modern and clean – something very important. While the Sheraton bathroom amenities aren’t the best, it wasn’t an issue since we had our own amenities.

The Sheraton Club Lounge is perhaps my favourite aspect of Sheraton hotels. I receive complimentary access to the club lounge thanks to my Business AMEX SPG Credit Card. Access can also be purchased by upgrading to a Club Room or Club Suite (though something that isn’t worth it, in my opinion).

The Sheraton Club Lounge features all-day snacks, breakfast, and evening appetisers. Drinks are available the whole day and consist of a wide selection of tea, coffee, water, juice, soda, etc. Snacks include cookies, chips, muffins, bread, fruit, yoghurt, etc.

Perhaps the coolest feature about this club lounge was the rooftop terrace with views of New York City and the surrounding areas – just gorgeous! We spent a good amount of time looking and admiring the city from above.

The breakfast spread consisted of waffles, bread, jams, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juice, etc. While the breakfast selection wasn’t the most extensive, it was fine for a club lounge. Considering the fact we had free access thanks to my AMEX, we weren’t complaining. The waffles were actually quite good and satisfied us for the day ahead.

All in all, we had an awesome time at the Sheraton Tribeca New York Hotel. The service was incredible and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I was thanked multiple times for my loyalty with SPG and everyone we interacted with couldn’t have been nicer. We also received a discount to the hotel’s Italian restaurant, where we were able to sample some delicious food.
The room was very clean and while not the most modern, it was nice for your average Sheraton. The location of the hotel was also ideal since we could walk to places of interest in a short amount of time. We enjoyed our time at the hotel and I’m super glad that I decided to book it last minute and cancel the Hilton for the second night.

Were there complimentary alcoholic beverages in the club lounge?
I didn’t see any.
How long has this been a Sheraton?
Was it originally a Four Points by Sheraton?
I recently stayed here too: https://www.instagram.com/p/BEXY_ldrUKJ/?taken-by=harlanvaughn
You are inspiring me to post a review, too lol. I swear the stayed in the same room!
I loved the hotel, plus the staff were amazing and the service was great.
I booked a Presidential suite with Starwood Points here. While I would never ever pay for one, it seems to be good value with points.
Thanks for sharing! How many points per night?
