Yay! I love being a Miles & More elite member – we basically have access to some of the world’s best First Class cabins months in advance, including Lufthansa and SWISS First Class.
What’s interesting is that there’s more SWISS First availability than Lufthansa First. This is because SWISS First awards are restricted to Miles & More Senator and HON Circle Members. So basically because of the restriction, we have more availability. If Lufthansa were to follow SWISS, no doubt it would have a major impact on the value of some miles… but from another side, it would then be easier for Miles & More elites to book Lufthansa First Class.
SWISS recently took delivery of their new flagship aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER. The Boeing 777 is an incredible aircraft and really is the backbone of some airlines’ fleet, it can take people faster and further.
For 85.000 Miles & More miles, I booked SWISS First from Los Angeles (LAX) to Zurich (ZRH). SWISS’ B777 is not scheduled to fly to LAX for a few more months, and therefore I booked the flight for June. So while it is a few months in the future, I’m super excited. This will be how I return to Europe for the summer after I finish this year of uni here in America.
I’m so excited! And what’s even better, is that I decided to also book SWISS First on their A330 on a ~6.5 hour flight during the summer. So as of now, I’m scheduled to fly SWISS First twice during the summer… and both flights include a long layover in Zurich – that means I can explore the new SWISS lounges in Zurich.
I’m really excited to fly SWISS… perhaps this new video they recently published will make you as well…
