SWISS International Air Lines, the premium carrier of the Lufthansa Group, has just announced the opening of their new First Class Lounge in Zurich will take place on Monday, 5 March 2018. Along with the opening of the new First Class Lounge, SWISS unveils a new service for inbound First Class guests: chauffeur service.
The new 650-sq. metre SWISS First Class Lounge will be located in Schengen Area A at Zurich Airport and will be accessible for Lufthansa and SWISS First Class passengers as well as Miles & More HON Circle Members. The lounge will be open daily from 05:30 until 22:30.

SWISS’ new lounge will be similar to SWISS’ current First Class Lounge at Non-Schengen Dock E and features dedicated check-in facilities, a private security checkpoint, à la carte restaurant with a barista, lounge suites, comfortable seating areas, a business zone with a meeting room, relaxation rooms, a smoking lounge, and more.
The new lounge is intended mainly for HON Circle Members travelling within Schengen destinations or First Class passengers waiting for their connecting flight within the Schengen Area. Guests travelling long-haul will be chauffeured in a luxury vehicle directly to the SWISS First Lounge in Dock E.
SWISS is also introducing a new, exclusive chauffeur service for SWISS First and HON Circle Members arriving in Zurich – something Lufthansa has always had. I’ve criticised SWISS in the past for not featuring this service and it seems like they have finally listened. The new SWISS chauffeur service is available to guests arriving in Dock E, Terminal B, or at a remote aircraft stand. Guests will be taken directly to either passport control or security control in Terminal A or B. The new service is expected to launch this summer.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is The Airline of Switzerland, serving over 100 destinations in 43 countries worldwide from Zurich and Geneva and carrying some 16.5 million passengers a year with its 91-aircraft fleet.
