December was a very special month for me in terms of family and travelling. I had the pleasure of taking my parents around Europe, then to Dubai, and finally the stunning and amazing Park Hyatt Maldives for 7 nights. Naturally, we also experienced some incredible flights on Austrian, Etihad, SWISS, and Turkish Airlines. Needless to say, it was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had.
The Park Hyatt Maldives is a stunning resort – the hotel is located on a private island which can only be reached by a boat from a small domestic airport. The island is stunning and offers peace and tranquility – I’ve never felt more isolated from the rest of the world, which was a good thing.
I wanted to make this trip very special for my parents and therefore I was in contact with the general manager of the Park Hyatt Maldives via email and asked if there was anything he and his team could do in order to celebrate a very special occasion for my parents. He couldn’t have been more gracious and welcoming, and surprised us with an upgrade to a 2 Bedroom Park Pool Villa. The base room that everyone redeeming points/certificates is booked into is the regular Park Villa – which is awesome, for a base villa. Then higher above that, is the Park Pool Villa (with just one bedroom), and higher than that is the 2 Bedroom Park Pool Villa.
Since there were three of us, there was no need for a rollaway bed for myself as my parents and I had our own bedrooms and bathrooms… luxury really doesn’t get any better than this. We really received the best possible “land” villa (we didn’t want an overwater villa as they get really hot during the day).
While I will have a full, extensive review of the resort soon, I just wanted to share with all of you about how amazing this Park Hyatt is… Not only are the staff super friendly and will literally go the extra mile, but the resort itself and every single aspect is incredible – you are literally in paradise.
This is the best Hyatt to redeem your points or certificates at… and as far as luxury hotels, it really doesn’t get much better than this.
