TSA PreCheck is arguably the only thing the TSA ever got right… something that actually improves the travel experience for passengers? Shocking! TSA PreCheck is virtually open to anyone residing in the United States and a few other countries and while there is a fee to join the programme, many fantastic Travel Rewards Credit Cards, Hotel Rewards Credit Cards, and Point Rewards Credit Cards provide a statement credit when you use the credit card to signup for the programme – so TSA PreCheck/Global Entry is available to many for free.

Ever since I’ve moved to Europe a little over a month ago, I’ve been dreading going through airport security and it has been a painful process. I hate it and I actually miss TSA PreCheck.. a lot. There is currently no such thing as PreCheck anywhere in Europe and that means removing laptops, liquids, belts, and jackets every single time you go through airport security. I’ve gotten to the point where I fly almost every single week now and it absolutely kills me to not have TSA PreCheck. Back when I lived in Seattle, it would take me literally 5 seconds to clear security and I wouldn’t have to remove anything – it now takes me around 5-10 minutes (on a good day) since some airports do not even have priority lanes.

That’s the sad realisation – I actually miss something implemented by the TSA.. who would have ever thought that. I definitely didn’t appreciate PreCheck as much as I should have when I had it since it was such a wonderful and painless process… and now that I think about it, I’m actually looking forward to travelling to America soon since PreCheck paired with Global Entry really do make for a smooth travel experience. If you still do not have TSA PreCheck/Global Entry, I highly recommend signing up for it and paying with a credit card that reimburses you the expense.

Be sure to check out some of the awesome Travel Rewards Credit Cards, Hotel Rewards Credit Cards, and Point Rewards Credit Cards that are available and will earn you lots of miles and great travel benefits!
