SWISS has recently opened a brand new First Class/HON Circle Lounge in Zurich in the “Dock E” concourse, which I’ve been wanting to visit since the opening day as the lounge is truly spectacular. Like all other SWISS First Lounges, the new SWISS First Lounge Zurich Dock E is only accessible if flying SWISS or Lufthansa First Class (or connecting from a First Class flight). Otherwise you can access the lounge if you’re a Miles & More HON Circle Member.
While the older SWISS First Lounge in the main terminal of Zurich Airport was very nice, this new SWISS First Lounge is even better. In addition to the new First Lounge, SWISS has also opened brand new Senator and Business Lounges in Dock E. All lounges share gorgeous views of the tarmac.
After my friend and I were rebooked on SWISS First (due to Lufthansa striking), we had about a 3 hour layover in Zurich, which was perfect for visiting the new lounge. While I will have a full report soon, I wanted to share some initial photos of the lounge as it is gorgeous. First of all, it was mostly empty except for two other people and us, which meant total privacy and comfort. The lounge features a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and an extensive selection of alcohol. Not only that, there are sleeping rooms with showers attached to the lounge available for passengers with longer connections. The lounge features plenty of comfortable seating areas as well as a conference centre.
Perhaps our favourite part of the lounge was the outdoor terrace, with stunning views of the tarmac. You can literally stay there for hours and watch airplane “activity” at the airport. Best of all, most of the wide-bodies park right below in Dock E! The lounge is truly stunning, here are some photos:
