United Airlines 4879
Colorado Springs (COS) – Denver (DEN)
Bombardier Dash 8 Q400
13 November 2015
The flights back to Seattle were operated by United and United Express with a connection in Denver. I essentially booked the last flight out of Colorado Springs to Denver that day and then connected on a flight to Seattle. All in all, I left Seattle at about 08:30 and was back around 21:30.
I arrived at the airport at around 16:10 and by 16:20 I was in the lounge, boarding was scheduled to begin at 16:40 for a 17:03 departure. While this flight was blocked at ~50 minutes, the actual flight time was more like ~17 minutes and we landed in Denver very early, so I ended up with a 1hr45min connection.
United Express First Class on the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 is really nothing special, I mean I personally think that First Class shouldn’t exist on such aircraft because it really isn’t the experience you would expect. Along with that, I can’t believe that most American carriers actually name their domestic Business Class “First Class”, because there really isn’t anything “First” about it.
Anyway, this flight was quick and uneventful. We maybe spent 2 minutes at cruising altitude and the rest was either climbing or descending, there was no beverage service at all and the flight attendants didn’t leave their jump seats from take-off to landing. I was happy to fly again with United and the Star Alliance since I absolutely love them.
