Lufthansa First Class Experience Final Thoughts

A couple of days ago, I shared my initial thoughts after flying Lufthansa First Class a couple of days ago. I mentioned it was my first time flying the new product (which isn’t really new anymore since it is on every plane now), and I was amazed and just blown away by every single little detail. Nothing, absolutely nothing left me disappointed. Everything went perfectly smooth and the crew and ground staff were phenomenal everywhere.

I booked the trip very far out – in November of last year (using Miles & More miles), I figured I might as well book First Class since there is space and I would be going to Europe in the summer anyway. I could always change or cancel the award for $60 USD. As of now, I am in Europe and will be here for two months (mainly in Poland visiting family). I have several European trips planned during the next two months and it is just going to be an awesome summer.

The total cost of the flights was 85.000 Miles & More miles + ~$400 USD in taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges. The flights were as follows:

25 June 2015 LH491 Seattle – Frankfurt, departing at 13:35 and arriving 08:15 (+1 day)
26 June 2015 LH1368 Frankfurt – Kraków, departing at 16:00 and arriving 17:30

I purposely planned for a long layover in Frankfurt so that I could experience the Lufthansa First Class Terminal and all of the First Class ground services associated. I was blown away and amazed at how awesome the whole experience was and how I basically had a personal Lufthansa attendant at every single part of the journey.

During the whole ~20 or so hours that the journey lasted, I felt like I was literally in a dream. I don’t know why, I’ve flown international First Class several times already.. but with Lufthansa it is truly different. The level of professionalism and personal service is incredible and I don’t think I’ve ever experienced so much *awesomeness* anywhere else.

There is a reason why I love Lufthansa so much and why it will always be my primary airline. This journey just confirmed everything that I know and love about Lufthansa. There really isn’t a better way to fly…
