I mentioned yesterday about how I’m spending the weekend in New York City, so ideally you should read that post before this one 🙂 Yesterday was an amazing day… but today was even better! I woke up feeling very refreshed and well rested in my hotel and decided to order some breakfast to start my day, Belgian waffles it was! And they were delicious!
Around 11:00, I headed into the city and ended up walking all the way from my hotel (the Park Hyatt New York), to the tip of Manhattan to Battery Park where I had a cruise to the Statue of Liberty. The walk was exhausting and after two hours I was ready to drop dead. The cruise to Liberty Island took about ten minutes and I was on the island shortly after, where I took this obligatory selfie with the statute:
Liberty Island has some amazing views of Manhattan:
Later I ended up wandering around the tip of Manhattan and went to see things like the Brooklyn Bridge and the 9/11 Memorial. Overall it was a very pleasant day spent in NYC, I even got sunburned since it was ~25 degrees C, a little bit too hot for sightseeing but I’m glad it was warmer rather than colder.
I’m leaving NYC tomorrow and I’m super sad since there are still so many things to visit and see. Honestly before coming here, I had no idea NYC was so captivating and amazing… I fell in love with the city, just the atmosphere, people, environment, etc. is just beyond words. I think I just may have a new favourite city in the U.S…. I will have a review of the Park Hyatt and more about the city up soon, just wanted to share some initial thoughts/feelings about the city.
