The Club at SEA (South Satellite) Seattle

Recently Airport Lounge Development (ALD) ‘took over’ two airport lounges at Seattle Airport and one of them is Club International in the South Satellite, it has been renamed to “The Club at SEA”. This lounge mainly serves various international airlines that fly out of the South Satellite, such as Lufthansa, Icelandair, Condor, etc. With the change in management from Seattle Airport to ALD, now Priority Pass and Lounge Club members are eligible to access the lounge regardless of the airline or class of service they are flying.

The lounge is basically one big room with a lot of comfy chairs in the middle and then bar-style chairs that overlook the runway. There is also a separate First Class area in the front part of the lounge with additional seating for First Class only, basically this is to make you feel ‘special’.

The lounge does get crowded at peak times throughout the day, this being 11:00-14:00 when all of the big international airlines are flying out of Seattle.

There is an alcohol menu from which you can choose what you’d like and then there is an area by the snack counter where a bartender will make it for you.

The snack selection is one of the largest you could want, and perhaps the most extensive from all of the lounges in Seattle.

Overall, the lounge is perfectly adequate due to the large selection of drinks, snacks, and alcohol. I recommend visiting other lounges in Seattle if you are planning to fly out during the peak of the day, this lounge does get super crowded from 11:00-14:00. I like the fact that more and more lounges in the U.S. are starting to offer hot soups and warm snacks and not just cookies and crackers. The last time I was there, there wasn’t such an extensive selection of food and snacks, so maybe due to the fact that ALD is now operating the lounge, the options have improved? Probably. The staff are also friendly, but unfortunately won’t be able to help you with your reservation as this is a contract lounge. Airline representatives come into the lounge to announce boarding for certain flights.

    1. A Club is much better – more spacious, quiet since no one goes there, a little more food. Review of A club coming soon! Plus I will do a comparison post of them both.

        1. The staff are super friendly, if you’d like, you can tell them you know me and they should know since I was there for about an hour chatting with the bartender and the front desk agent.
