2014 has been both my favourite and least favourite year in general. In terms of travel, I’ve flown the most miles of my life, ever, and also have redeemed the most miles I’ve ever redeemed this year. However not speaking about myself, I don’t think this year has been great overall in many terms. Firstly, safety is the most important and with the disappearance and shoot-down of the Malaysia airplanes, numerous other aviation incidents, wars, diseases, etc., the year hasn’t been great at all. I remember 2012 and 2013 have been my favourite years so far since I don’t remember ‘bad’ stuff from those years and I feel like nothing that major happened in those years and therefore I remember them memorably. I won’t have the the same thoughts about 2014.
For me personally, the year has been very successful in terms of my life, this blog, etc. After all, I joined Prior2Boarding and the views of the blog shot up dramatically, and not only that, I’ve befriended my fellow bloggers at the BoardingArea conference in Las Vegas. But even if I’ve had a good year and nothing impacted me directly, I still won’t have a memorable experience of the year because of all of the other shocking events that happened this year.
This is blog post #100. I still remember when I started the blog back in November of 2012 and I thought I would never get where I am today and I am very happy with my blog overall. I remember not getting views at all in the beginning, and slowly as I added trip reports that people began reading… but still.. nothing compares to the spike in readership since I joined the BoardingArea family.
So as this turbulent year comes to an end, I would like to share with you my favourite travel experiences of 2014.
Here’s to another successful year of blogging and travelling. And hopefully sometime in the future, to post #1000.
Thank you again for reading, commenting, suggesting, etc. I really couldn’t of done it all without my readers and everyday I wake up feeling happy that I’ve finally found a hobby that I love.
