I love Rimowa. They make the world’s best luggage and absolutely cannot compare to all of the other luggage companies (except Tumi… I also like Tumi). Every bag, laptop bag, briefcase, suitcase, etc. that I’ve had that was not Rimowa or Tumi always ended up falling apart after ~1 year of intense travel. So I was essentially buying a new bag each year and eventually stopped having a carry-on bag and began checking my luggage… which never ended up well. So at the beginning of this year I invested in a Rimowa Multiwheel Cabin trolley. I fell in love with this bag. I cannot believe that I never looked into the possibility of a Rimowa when I had my ‘luggage’ issues, I just knew they were expensive and I thought it wasn’t worth buying. I was so wrong.
So while casually browsing some items in the Lufthansa WorldShop, I noticed this bag and it caught my eye mainly because of how damn cool it looks. The bag looks small on the outside… but I’ve been able to fit a ton of things inside and what I really like is that the bag is light itself since it is made of polycarbonate. I also love the fact that there are four wheels which means I can push the bag and it will roll just fine (I actually prefer this rather than pulling it behind me).
The bag has flown well over 100k miles already with me and is still in perfect, like new condition without any dents or scratches. I also got a Rimowa polish paste so I can clean it from time to time.
